Strengthening Youth Programs through Evidence-Based Research

Partnering with the University of Notre Dame's LEO to Evaluate and Enhance Academic and Emotional Well-Being Initiatives Across Eight Club Sites

Strengthening Youth Programs through Evidence-Based Research

August 19, 2024

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide the highest quality afterschool programming for the youth we serve, we are excited to announce our partnership with the Lab for Economic Opportunity (LEO) at the University of Notre Dame to conduct a research study aimed at measuring the impact of our academic enrichment and emotional well-being programs.

ABOUT LEO
LEO has been working alongside community non-profits across the country since 2012, helping organizations like ours apply evaluation methods to better understand the true impact of our services. Their mission is to improve lives through evidence-based programs and policies. By collaborating with LEO, we are taking a significant step toward understanding how our programs affect the young people we serve and how we can continue to improve our offerings.

ABOUT THE BGC STUDY
This study will focus on assessing the effectiveness of our literacy, STEM, and emotional well-being curriculums.

THE WHY
The insights gained from this study will be invaluable in guiding our future programming decisions. Our goal is to ensure that all the youth we serve continue to have access to the best quality, evidence-based programming for years to come.
